We hear this a lot:
“I had hired a guy to work on my website, he did some work and then he just disappeared- without a trace. Can you help me?”
My answer: “Of course, we can!”
This situation is very troubling. I have no idea why someone would do this- especially if they haven’t been paid yet. I don’t like this as a trend. This type of non-commitment, at best, is a huge let-down and a waste of your time and resources. At worst, it’s damaging: a set-back on your business goals, important deadlines and leaving you vulnerable. You’ve just laid your company open to hack attacks and now you have to scramble to pick up the pieces, understand ‘techie stuff’ (probably not your strong suit) and lock your sensitive content down in a hurry.
